Solid game for the Flyers. But a shootout is definitely a crap way to end a hard-fought game like that.

Missed the game past the first period, but nice to see them hold their own against St. Louis for two games now.

Regarding the shootout, I do think they are kind of a stupid thing but if the Flyers had a better record in them since its conception, we wouldn't be so frustrated by them.

Not me anyway, and I'll admit that.

Again, nice to see them hold their own especially without Timonen.

What a horrible way to end a hard-fought game. Although the Blues probably would have won (they were taking it to the Flyers late), neither team deserved to lose that type of game on a breakaway competition. Can't wait until the NFL adopts a field goal competition to decide OT games.

I hate the shootout, but that TJ Oshie's 73% success rate is inhuman.

His hands and reflexes in tight on the goaltender are Matrix-like.

i'm with bill on this, as much as i hate the devils they deserve to be in the playoffs more than a team who will get in on shootout points. and the craps should be at the bottom of the standings with their awful awful ROWs, not competing for a spot.

not sure of the exact number, but havnt they gone to OT in like 35% of their games?

Didn't they have a ridiculous shootout record the other way the year they went to the finals?

Hard fought game followed by a stupid gimmick. What we can all take away from the past 2 games is that we played arguably the top 2 teams in the league for 65 minutes apiece and showed we belong on the same ice as them, without a doubt.

Also, I would have liked to see Gus get some ice time in OT. I get Grossmann being out there early to finish off the PK, but Gus' skating and offensive game could have been more useful for the final 4 minutes.

no idea of the percentage, there probably is something on nhl.com to figure that out, but putting it simply at ROWs in the conference it looks like this

I would like to at least see a 10-minute overtime adopted and for teams to change sides to create a long line-change

I like this plan; it's much better than going to 3 on 3. I think Philly would have two or three more points this year under that setup.

But I have no sympathy for NJ who have benefited greatly from the SO before this season.

Gus looked pretty solid despite not having played in the entire month of March.

Oh, and last night was Brayden Schenn's most noticeable game in awhile. He seemed fully engaged.

Yep, 26 times this year. They have 2 non-shootout overtime wins.

Yeah I mean I hear what Bill is saying but the thing is I have never felt any sympathy for them ever nor will I.

Have I told you lately how much I despise shootouts? Win or lose, they remain a horrible way to decide hockey games.

THIS, a million times, THIS!!!

I thought Gus looked good as well. How was Coborn not charged for a give away?

off topic, but posted by crisomninja last night. Crosby get accidentally brushed by the linesman, goes down like he was in the grassy knoll: back and to the left.
